More than $600 million is being distributed among more than 1,500 government entities in a multi-year process. BrownGreer is responsible for all aspects of ensuring those funds reach those entities in a timely manner and in accordance with all deadlines set by the agreements. We regularly report on progress to all parties involved, including the relevant law firms, entities, and the Court.
We also handle the ongoing work required for approximately 800 personal injury plaintiffs, many of whom were minors during the period covered by the settlements. Working in close collaboration with the Settlement Oversight Committee, BrownGreer is managing claim forms and releases in addition to helping assign award amounts based on a point system related to the nature of injuries suffered and other risk factors.
